Grant-aided Project

EasyTalk s.r.o. was awarded a grant in winter 2005 under the Single Programming Document for the Objective 3 Region NUTS 2 Praha. Cofinanced from the Czech state budget, that of the Prague City Council and the European Social Fund, the grant was to fund a project aiming to raise the standard of the tourist professions in respect of language skills and understanding of the cultural and ethnic specifics of visitors to Prague.

The aim of the EASYTALK project was to run an educational programme for people working in tourism, entrepreneurs and those wishing to run a business in the Czech Republic to raise their language qualification levels, and teach them the cultural and ethnic specifics of selected nations and regions whose members come to the Czech Republic.

The project was unique for its interactive form, as well as the intent to enrich education with a completely new theme of cultural and ethnic specifics.

Objectives of EASYTALK educational project:

- Improving communication and language skills of people working in tourism and hence their flexibility in the job market

  • Language skills: English, French, Spanish and Italian teaching;
  • Knowledge of cultural and ethnic specifics of selected nations and regions, their behavioural influences, and recommendations for people working in tourism meeting clients with specific requirements stemming from different cultures and traditions and dealing with stressful situations involving specific groups of tourists.

- To stimulate adaptation of personnel to new trends in tourism

- To extend the offer of further education and the options for raising qualification levels in the Czech Republic

The project assisting people working in tourism is not currently active though the language methods, teaching materials and presentations of lectures on cultural differences will continue to be used. This opens up an opportunity for individuals and private firms to take part. EasyTalk used the grant to train teachers and lecturers so that their work is as effective as it can be, the creation of the teaching materials was as painstaking, and as a result, EasyTalk offers first-rate services at reasonable prices.
